As an Arborist Sales Trainee, you will receive comprehensive, hands-on training in both arboriculture and consultative sales. Responsibilities

• Participate in hands-on training to assess the health, safety, and care needs of trees and shrubs under the guidance of experienced team members
• Assist clients in understanding their landscapes and recommend appropriate services to enhance and protect their properties
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with residential and commercial clients
• Grow and manage a client base through proactive outreach and exceptional service
• Prepare service recommendations and follow up with prospective and existing clients
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure high-quality service delivery
• Engage in field training, educational programs, and preparation for professional certifications
• Stay informed about arboriculture, plant health care, safety standards, and industry best practices

Qualifications

• Interest in learning about tree care, landscaping, horticulture, plant health care, customer service, or sales (education or experience in these areas is a plus)
• Genuine passion for trees, shrubs, and sustainable landscape care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, trustworthy, and service-oriented approach
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and develop technical expertise
• Goal-oriented mindset with an interest in building long-term client relationships
• Interest in pursuing professional credentials such as ISA Certified Arborist, New York Category 3A, Connecticut Arborist, or Connecticut Ornamental and Turf licenses
