Experience is welcome, but not required! You'll need:Clear verbal and written communication abilities with active listening skillsCreative, flexible problem-solving skillsCollaborative team spiritAbility to adapt to changing work prioritiesAbility to healthily and appropriately manage boundaries and stressorsAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to stay attentive throughout the night and swiftly respond to emergenciesAbility to work some weekdays and at least one weekend day (Saturday and/or Sunday)Preferred - proficiency in Microsoft products and experience using online databases or a willingness to be trainedResponsibilities:Overseeing the nightly shelter activities and accurately documenting all incidents and observationsProfessionally assisting clients, volunteers, and visitors with any questions or concernsEnsuring compliance with all company policies, local regulations, and emergency proceduresQuickly responding to situations and emergencies if neededPerforming additional duties as needed by the program, such as laundryWhy People Like It Here:At JOURNEYS | The Road Home, our non-profit agency is dedicated to providing individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity with essential shelter, social services, and housing support.
